WordPress Speed Optimization Service
A WordPress speed service that fixes causes, not symptoms.
Most providers install a caching plugin, screenshot the new score, and move on. We profile your site to find what is actually slow, fix it at the source, and hand you before and after numbers you can check yourself on Google’s own tools.

Four things people tell us on the first call
Each of these has a specific technical cause. None of them gets fixed by a plugin setting.
01
I installed a caching plugin. Nothing changed.
Caching helps the second page view. Google measures the first one. If your theme loads 2MB of JavaScript before anything renders, a cache plugin can’t save you.
02
Desktop is green. Mobile is stuck at 43.
Google ranks you on the mobile score, and the mobile test runs your code on a throttled connection with a slower CPU. That gap is fixable, but not from a settings page.
03
My checkout crawls and carts get abandoned.
Cart and checkout pages can’t be cached. Every single one runs live PHP and database queries. This is where WooCommerce stores lose money, and where most speed services quietly give up.
04
I scored 95 and the site still feels slow.
A score is a lab number. Real visitors on real phones are field data, and the two disagree more often than you’d think. Google ranks you on the field data.
The numbers
Before and after, in text you can read
Everyone shows you a green screenshot. Screenshots can’t be re-run and can’t be checked. Here is what typical results look like as plain numbers, by site type, measured the way Google measures.
| Site type & metric | Before | After | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Business site — Mobile PageSpeedCore Web Vitals lab score | 38 | 86 | +48 |
| Business site — Largest Contentful PaintThe moment the main content appears | 4.6s | 1.7s | −63% |
| Blog / publisher — Time to First ByteHow long the server takes to respond | 1.4s | 0.4s | −71% |
| WooCommerce — Checkout load (real test order)The page that can’t be cached | 6.2s | 1.9s | −69% |
| WooCommerce — Interaction to Next PaintHow fast the page reacts to a tap | 410ms | 140ms | −66% |
Representative results from sites we’ve audited, shown as ranges rather than a single lucky example. Your own numbers are measured on your site during the free audit and written into the quote as targets. LCP, INP, and CLS are the three Core Web Vitals Google uses; INP replaced FID in March 2024.
What we fix
What real performance work covers
We use caching plugins too. WP Rocket is good software. But caching is the last step of a fast site, not the first. If the pages underneath are heavy, caching just hides the problem from some of your visitors and leaves it for the rest.
📈
Core Web Vitals: LCP, INP, CLS
These are the three numbers Google folds into rankings, and INP replaced the old FID metric in March 2024. We optimize against field data from real Chrome users, because that’s the data Google actually uses. Lab scores come along for the ride.
🖥️
Server
Server response and TTFB
If your server takes 1.5 seconds to send the first byte, nothing downstream can be fast. We tune PHP versions, object caching, and query load. If hosting itself is the bottleneck, we show you the timings that prove it.
🖼️
Media
Images and media
Modern formats, correct dimensions, lazy loading below the fold and eager loading above it. The biggest single win on most sites we audit is a hero image eight times larger than it needs to be.
📜
Code
JavaScript and CSS
We defer what can wait, remove what’s never used, and inline the small slice of CSS your first paint depends on. Page builders and multipurpose themes are the usual suspects here.
🗄️
Database
Database cleanup and indexing
Years of post revisions, expired transients, and orphaned tables from long-deleted plugins slow every uncached query. We clean it out and add indexes where WooCommerce needs them.
🛒
WooCommerce
WooCommerce speed optimization
Cart fragments, session tables, checkout scripts. Store pages that can’t be cached need their code to be fast instead. We time a real test order before and after, so the improvement shows up where it counts.
How it works
Diagnosis first. Payment after.
You wouldn’t pay a mechanic before they open the hood. The audit is free, the quote includes the target scores in writing, and nothing touches your live site until you’ve seen results on staging.
01
Free · before you pay
We audit your site and tell you what’s slow
Send your URL. We profile the site and send back what’s slow, why, and the scores we can realistically reach on your stack. The quote includes those targets in writing. If we don’t think we can help, we tell you that instead of taking the job.
02
All work happens on a staging copy
We clone your site and do everything there first. Your live site stays untouched until you’ve looked at the staging results and approved them. This is the step cheap gigs skip, and it’s why they break checkouts.
03
We fix causes, in order of impact
The profiling tells us what’s actually costing time: a slow server response, a bloated theme, unindexed database queries, oversized images. We fix the biggest cost first and work down the list. Caching gets configured last, on top of pages that are already fast.
04
We test like a visitor, not like a dashboard
Throttled mobile connection, mid-range device, real clicks through your forms, search, and checkout. Fast but broken is not a result. Everything that worked before has to work after.
05
You get a report you can re-run yourself
Live links to PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, and WebPageTest runs, not screenshots. Run them again next week or next month. If a service only gives you screenshots, ask yourself why.

30-day recheck
Scores drift as plugins update and content grows. We re-test after 30 days and fix any regression tied to our work at no charge.
The cost of slow
What is a slow site actually costing you?
A rough estimate, built on published conversion research. Move the sliders to your numbers and see roughly what a faster site is worth per year.
Estimated revenue left on the table
$0
per year, from visitors who bounce or don’t convert on a slow site
Estimate only. Based on Portent’s finding that conversion rates roughly triple between a 5-second and a 1-second load, applied conservatively at about 6% per second saved. Your real numbers depend on traffic, offer, and how far we can move your load time — which the free audit measures directly.
Pricing
One-time pricing, guaranteed in writing
No subscription required. Every quote includes your target scores, and if we miss them, you get a refund. That sentence is in the contract, not just on this page.

Comparison
Why not a plugin, or a $50 gig?
Fair question. Sometimes a plugin is enough. Here’s where the differences actually show up, so you can decide with clear eyes.

Google and Deloitte’s “Milliseconds Make Millions” study found a 0.1-second speed improvement lifted retail conversions by 8.4% and average order value by 9.2%. On a store doing $10k a month, speed work tends to pay for itself within weeks.
Who it’s for
This works best for certain sites
✓ Good fit
- A WooCommerce store where checkout feels slow and carts get abandoned
- Your mobile score is in the red and you’re paying for ad traffic that lands on those pages
- The site feels slow even though your hosting support says everything is fine
- You already paid someone to speed up your WordPress site once and got a screenshot and silence
- You run an agency and want speed work you can white-label
✗ Not a good fit
- You want a redesign. That’s a different project, and speed work won’t fix a layout problem
- Your site is static HTML with no WordPress underneath
- You’re on $2 shared hosting and unwilling to consider moving even if our timings show it’s the cause
- You want ongoing updates and monitoring. That’s our maintenance service, not this one

FAQ
Questions we get asked a lot
What does a WordPress speed optimization service actually include?
Profiling to find what is slow, then fixing it at the source: server response, images, JavaScript and CSS, database queries, and caching configured last. On this service, all work happens on a staging copy, gets tested on throttled mobile connections, and ships with a before and after report you can re-run yourself on Google’s own tools.
Is a WordPress performance optimization service the same as this?
They describe the same work. Some agencies say performance optimization to include server tuning and Core Web Vitals, and speed optimization to mean front-end fixes. We cover both under one roof: the server, the code, the database, the media, and the field metrics Google ranks on. One service, no artificial line between them.
How long does it take?
Five to seven days for most sites. WooCommerce stores and heavily customized sites can take up to two weeks. The free audit gives you an exact timeline before you pay anything.
Can you guarantee a 90+ PageSpeed score?
On desktop, yes for most sites, and the target goes into the written quote with a refund if we miss it. Mobile is harder and depends on your theme and hosting, so we quote a mobile target per site after the audit instead of promising a blanket number. If a target is not reachable on your stack, we say so before you pay, not after.
Will you break my site?
The work happens on a staging clone first. Before anything goes live we click through your forms, menus, search, and checkout on the staging copy. Your live site changes only after you have seen the staging results and approved them.
Do I need to change my hosting?
Usually not. About one site in five we audit has hosting as the main bottleneck. If yours is one of them, the audit shows the server timings that prove it, and you decide what to do. We don’t sell hosting and we don’t take referral fees, so the recommendation has nothing behind it but the numbers.
Why is my mobile score so much lower than desktop?
PageSpeed tests mobile on a simulated mid-range phone with a throttled connection, so every extra kilobyte of JavaScript costs several times more than it does on desktop. Sites built with heavy page builders feel this the most. Fixing it means shipping less code, not tweaking plugin settings.
Do you handle WooCommerce speed optimization?
Yes, as a dedicated tier, because stores are genuinely harder. Cart and checkout pages can’t be served from cache, so they need fast queries and lean scripts instead. We time a real test order before and after, so the improvement shows up where revenue happens and not just on the homepage.
Will the results last?
The fixes are permanent, but sites change. New plugins and new content can slow things down again over time. We re-test after 30 days and fix any regression tied to our work free. If you want someone watching it long term, that’s our maintenance plan, which is a separate service.
What’s the difference between my score and real speed?
The score is a lab test. Google also collects field data from real Chrome visitors, and that field data feeds rankings, not the lab score. The two can disagree: a site can score 95 in the lab and still feel slow to real visitors on real phones. We optimize both but prioritize the field metrics: LCP, INP, and CLS.
What do you need from me to start?
WordPress admin access and hosting or FTP credentials, shared through an encrypted note rather than email. Around two hours of your time in total, mostly at the start. We handle the rest, and you approve the staging results before anything ships.
